Dec 15, 2019 · It looks as if gen 2 & 4 maglock function the same i.e. slides in between upper & lower so I don't think gen 2 will work any better than gen 4. The issues seem to be the amount of space between upper & lower when the bolt is locked back and the maglock aligned properly so it slides in without hitting the lower or upper. I wasn’t just basing things on YouTube, I actually ran a reload drill on a rifle with the Kingpin & AR Maglock (Gen 4) setup. The bolt did, in fact, held back on the last round.
